Mad Hatter's Tea Party "SWEET BAKE OFF"

I am so excited to be entering in a cake competition! It has been over two years since I have made a show piece!

This years "Sweet Bake Off" held at The Court on Sunday the 16Th of May has an AWESOME theme which is "Mad Hatter's Tea Party"

I am a HUGE fan of Tim Burton and I have decided to make my show piece along the lines of his recent move "Alice in Wonderland". I won't give too much away but here is a picture that I love and will be using for inspiration!

Weekend Cake Class!

I am very excited to inform you all that Cupid's Delight will be running weekend workshops and classes in March!

First up we have the BASICS 12

Saturday the 13Th and Sunday the 14Th of March

9:00am - 2:30pm

This is the SAME course that we run over a 5 week period but the difference is that it is held over the two days. You will be learning the basics of cake decorating with one of Cupid's Delights talented cake decorator, Melissa.

She will cover the important aspects of basic cake decorating which include:

*Food safe

*Baking cakes

*Baking hints and tips

*Creating iced flowers and other hand made decorations

*An icing teddy bear

*The use of different icings

*Colouring

*Levelling, covering and decorating your own cake (we are even supplying the cake for you)

Hello 2010!

Hey All!

Sorry it has been a while since I have posted but I do promise some exciting cakes and toppers coming up soon.

I would like to Thank CakeBox for the last two years, I really enjoyed being given the opportunity to build a wedding cake department from ground up. During this period I was able to further my own skills and learn so much about running a business. I will remember and cherish many fond memories during my employment there.

2010 finds me in a new role at Cupid's Delight in Hamilton Hill, WA as CakeBox has decided to take their business in a new direction. I will still be making cakes and also teaching cake decorating classes. www.cupidsdelight.com.au
